The summer of 2024, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Rome, Italy, through the “creativity and culture” program in the journalism and mass communications school. My time there was filled with amazing experiences, meeting new people and diving deeper into a different culture. As a group, we toured the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Vatican and the Borghese Gallery. We also had the opportunity to visit other Italian cities such as, Florence, Venice, and the Amalfi Coast.

During the six weeks, we visited WPP’s Hill and Knowlton, a strategic communications consultancy, where we explored the intersection of communications, advertising, and sustainability. We also toured RAI Radio, gaining a deeper understanding of each person’s job and responsibilities.

This experience impacted my personal and professional growth. I learned so much about international marketing, brand strategizing,and ethnographic research.
